This raglan cable sweater is worked in pieces and joined, before the neckband and embroidery are added.

BACK

Using 3mm needles and yarn A, cast on 180 (192:204:216:232:248 :264:280) sts.

Work in 1x1 rib for 5cm, ending after a RS row.

Change to 3.5mm needles.

Set-up row (WS}: K3, *P16, K2 (3:4:5:2: 3:4:5), P6, K2 (3:4:5:2:3:4:5); rep from * another 2 (2:2:2:3:3:3:3) times, P18, **K2 (3:4:5:2:3:4:5), P6, K2 (3:4:5:2:3:4:5), P16; rep from ** another 2 (2:2: 2:3:3:3:3} times, K3.

Now work from Charts, working as follows:

Row I (RS}: P3, *work Chart B, P2 (3:4:5:2: 3:4:5), work Chart A1, P2 (3:4:5:2: 3:4: 5}; rep from * another 2 (2:2:2:3: 3:3:3) times, work Chart C, **p2 (3:4:5:2:3:4:5), work ChartA2, P2 (3:4:5:2: 3:4:5), work Chart B; rep from ** another 2 (2:2:2:3: 3:3:3} times, P3.

This row sets the 3 edge sts and the 2 (3:4:5:2:3:4:5} 'gutter' sts between each chart, all in rev st st, and the placement of each
