WINNING LETTER

Ellies in the rain

For 16 years, I've been dreaming of visiting the Kruger Park. In December last year, my dream finally came true. It was one of the highlights of my life – I never could have imagined that the park would be home to such a wide variety of animals. We saw lions, hyenas, wild dogs, a jackal, rhinos and many herds of elephant.

It rained a lot while we were in the park. On this day, it was really bucketing down.We were on the S114 to Skukuza and we almost drove into this herd when we came around a corner. The bull wasn't happy at all – he came at us with ears flapping. We quickly reversed the way we'd come!
