Documentary: LEONARD BERNSTEIN: A GENIUS DIVIDED

A 2018 doco by German writer and director Thomasand, recently, It was created for the anniversary of Bernstein’s 100th birthday but, of course, there is new interest in the conductor and composer and his legacy after Bradley Cooper’s The film looks at Bernstein’s achievements and career and paints a portrait of a genius who pushed himself to the limit and struggled to be taken seriously as a composer. Interviewees include his children and close friends.
