DESPITE the early morning fog on the motorway, it certainly felt as though spring had arrived when I made the first trip to Stafford of the new birdkeeping year.

After covid there has been a definite sense that birdkeeping events at Stafford had a quieter feel about them, with fewer sales tables and not as many visitors walking the halls.
