A slicker version of The Sweeney, but with more dubious plotlines, The Professionals was responsible for many a youth lusting after a Mk3 Capri in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Starring Lewis Collins, Martin Shaw and Gordon Jackson as members of government agency, CI5, Ford landed the PR coup of the decade when they were allowed to supply all the vehicles for the drama series. Naturally, Ford Of Britain’s output featured heavily throughout the show’s six-year run.
