Edvard GRIEG (1843-1907)

Grieg’s evocative (Lyriske stykker) are loved by amateurs and professionals alike, though one rarely hears them on the by reworking it as a humorous waltz for the last piece of Op 71. It’s quite moving, then, to have come full circle. Even though the were published as separate volumes, some editors treat them as a single work, numbering the 66 pieces as one list.
