    STEP 1: GATHER NECESSARY TOOLS AND MATERIALS

    Before you start the oil change, gather the following tools and materials:

    » Motorcycle oil (check your motorcycle's manual for the recommended oil type and quantity)
    » Correct oil filter
    » Oil drain pan
    » Socket set
    » Funnel
    » Oil filter pliers or flat-blade screwdriver
    » Rags or paper towels
