JOHN IZAK WELCH
16 January 1951 – 9 January 2024
I MET John Welch in the mid-1990s when I became involved in the South African Gunowners’ Association (SAGA). By then John had already been involved in the fight for firearm rights for well over a decade in his capacity as a Founding Trustee of SAGA along with Ron Anger (of ) and attorney Ian Lehr. John served as SAGA Chairman for many years and more recently as SAGA President.
