A NTHONY JOSHUA’S first, second and third right hands formed a lethal trinity to separate Francis Ngannou from his senses and his fantasy at almost 4am last Saturday in Riyadh.

Joshua was poised, powerful, respectful and brutal during less than six minutes of quality boxing. Ngannou knew from very early in the fight that his adventure inside the four-roped ring was in danger. There was confusion on his face long before the first knockdown; that stunning right hand never changed the fight, it just brought the inevitable, painful ending closer. I felt sorry for Big Francis, I really did.

Everything worked for Joshua, and nothing worked for Ngannou. The
