FROM your partner snoring to leg cramps and nightmares, there are plenty of things that could ruin your rest by making it difficult for you to sleep through to the morning.

According to recent surveys, around 67% of adults wake up at least once in the night. And tiredness isn’t the only side effect.

A lack of decent shut-eye weakens your immune system and over the long term can contribute to problems such as high blood pressure, poor memory, depression, heart disease, diabetes and cancer.

Here are some common reasons for waking up at night and tips on how to sort it out so you wake up feeling refreshed.
