Yorkshire farmer/contractor, Nigel Thornborrow: Getting a grip

After having been coaxed dangerously near sleep by the mud-terrains droning sweet lullabies for three hours, you do tend to question if such an aggressive tread pattern is strictly necessary. Although compromised on tarmac, mud-terrain tyres were selected for a reason, and these long motorway runs are very infrequent. And that's reallytrailer to peaty ground makes for a highly effective land-anchor, and the only thing between you and a long ‘walk of shame’ is the grip you have to offer. Hence why off-road ability is my top priority, outweighing the fact that over 75% of use will be on-road.
