It’s such a good feeling when your new bike just keeps you stoked to take it out and ride it. The World Raid has had that impact on me from day one, and it continues to do so now that we’re a few months into life’s journey together. And let’s face it, you’d be a little detuned if your new $25,499 ride-away purchase didn’t light your fuse — that would be a real case of buyer’s remorse.
It’s well known that I’ve long been partial to a Ténéré, and as I’ve said many times, the World Raid is the Ténéré the T7 should have been from day one. Because in the true tradition of a Ténéré, you’ve got to have a fat fuel tank, and with 23 litres onboard in its dual fuel cells, the World Raid thoroughly qualifies on that count. Most rides I average 20 to 22km per litre, which can get me to that magic 500km range-to-dry in certain conditions, when required. Sure, you don’t need that range every day of the week, but it’s good to know it's there if/when required. Fuel anxiety? Hah!
More impressively, while the fuel load is greater than
