A KIND OF MAGIC

Some kids walk to school, while others catch a bus or take the train. But in 1954, eight-year-old Farrokh had to get on a ship to go to his new school!

His parents led him through the streets of their neighbourhood on the islands of Zanzibar, off the east coast of Africa. At the harbour, ships from all over the world bobbed in the bright blue sea.
