LOCOMOTIVE Services Group has announced it will launch a series of three-day weekend excursions to Scotland this summer, under the title of the ‘West Highland Pullman’.
The Pullman will run on eight weekends (Friday-Monday) and use a shortened version of the ‘Blue Pullman’HST, formed of two dining cars, two first class carriages and a kitchen car, hauled by Class 43 power cars.
None of the‘West Highland Pullman’trains include hotel accommodation, allowing passengers to select their own hotels in Fort William at a budget which suits them.
The first train is on the weekend of August 16-18, starting at Romford and picking up at Shenfield, Chelmsford, Colchester, Ipswich, Stowmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Ely, March and Peterborough, with an approximate arrival at Fort William around 20.30.
