TWO Christmas trains with full dining options, and a third aimed at enthusiasts, have been added to Pathfinder Tours’ winter programme.
On November 25, Pathfinder will run the‘Winchester Christmas Excursion’which starts at Burton-upon-Trent, and then picks up at Tamworth, Birmingham New St, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire Parkway, Cheltenham, Cam & Dursley and Bristol Parkway, before heading east along the GW man line to Reading, and then to Winchester where passengers can enjoy the Christmas markets, cathedral or other historic sights.
For a second option, the train continues to Southampton where passengers will have three hours in the city which is also hosting a Christmas market. The final destination for the special is Salisbury, again with options of a Christmas market, the cathedral or just sightseeing.
Fares begin at £129 standard, (£65 junior) or £496 for a party of four. First class fares are £185 adult, £145 junior or £720 for a party of four. Premier dining seats, which will include a full English breakfast, elevenses and a four-course evening dinner, cost £299 adult,
