All set for ‘Mazey Day’

AS PART of marking 50 years of Pathfinder railtours, this year’s ‘Mazey Day Special’ from the Midlands to Penzance will feature a pair of GB Railfreight Class 69s, creating a first for the class visiting Cornwall.

This year’s trip, in which the Mazey Day Parades are a vibrant part of the Golowan Festival, will take place on June 24, starting at Tame Bridge Parkway, and offering three destination options for passengers. Calling at Stourbridge Junction, Kidderminster, Droitwich Spa, Worcester Shrub Hill, Cheltenham Spa, Cam & Dursley, Bristol Parkway and finally Bristol Temple Meads, the train will run over the Somerset Levels, along the sea wall at Dawlish and Teignmouth before entering Cornwall via the Royal Albert Bridge
