pankaj udhas Maestro’s ‘voice carried emotion’

Ghazal maestro Pankaj Udhas has been remembered worldwide for his melodies.

Udhas passed away on Monday, at the age of 72, after a battle with cancer.

He was given a state funeral in Mumbai on Tuesday.

Udhas’s soulful renditions of ghazals, or lyric love songs, were a cornerstone of many Bollywood films over his decades-long career.
