Anya wiggled in her airplane seat. “Are we almost there?” she asked her parents.

“No,” Mom said. “Dadima’s house is still far.”

“Still?” Anya had been flying forever! When would she see her grandma, Dadima?

Dadima lived in India. Anya lived in the United States. They had never met. But Dad had given Anya an old photo of Dadima. In the photo, she had long black hair, big brown eyes, and dimpled cheeks—just like Anya!
