RED-LETTER EVENTS

Spring has almost sprung, and that means the car show season that seems so far away in the depths of winter, is finally upon us. Variety really is the spice of life with 2024’s car shows, with marque-specific events ranging from Ford to Ferrari, restoration showcases, motorsport specials, anniversary celebrations, club shows and much more besides.

It’s not just headliner shows like the NEC Classic Motor Show or Goodwood Revival that are worth visiting, either – your local car club or pub will likely host all manner of classic car events closer to home, bringing together local enthusiasts. The show will feature hundreds of display cars, talks from YouTube stars, and an Ask the Experts feature where visitors can chat with industry experts and get professional automotive guidance free of charge. For those visiting on their own, there is a meet-up spot called Friendship Corner, where visitors can enjoy socialising with other attendees, making new friends and meeting people to chat with online. There will also be a prize-giving, with all cars set to be judged – and we’re assured it’s not just for the shiniest or most pristine cars!
