A boating lake inspired by Peter Pan, and dreamt up by a wealthy friend of the book’s author JM Barrie, has been registered at Grade II.
Scottish playwright and barrister Glencairn Stuart Ogilvie inherited an estate in what is now the village of in 1908 and decided to develop it as a holiday village.
