Best laundry scent boosters to make every wash super fresh

Most of us have seen a dramatic detergent advert on the telly.

We’re talking about the ones which have children clad in pristine white clothing rolling around in the mud and jumping on fabric sofas, only for a wash (likely hotter than fire and brimstone) mixed with (probably half a £10 bottle of top-shelf) detergent to magically remove any trace of dirt, grime or muck from each and every fibre.

After taking out those brighter-than-our-futures garments from the wash, our protagonists tend to bury their faces in piles of fresh laundry – inhaling the swirling aromas of ‘summer orchard’ and ‘sweet lavender’. This, frankly, is the only semi-realistic part of televised laundry adverts.
