Prince Harry faces £1 million legal bill after losing High Court security case

Prince Harry is facing an estimated £1 million legal bill after losing his High Court case over the decision to downgrade his UK security after he stepped down as a working member of the Royal Family.

Unless the Duke of Sussex, 39, is successful in an appeal against the court’s ruling, he is expected to have to pay his own lawyers as well as the legal costs of the Home Office.

The Government department has revealed its legal costs had already reached £407,000 by October last year. That was before a three-day trial in December.
