HOW WAS IT FOR YOU? NOOSA TRIATHLON

Spotting the buoy ahead, I realise that for the first time in a triathlon I don't want to get out of the water. I have never enjoyed a swim leg so much – the water in the beautiful Pacific Ocean is just amazing and thanks to a staggered wave start (standard since the pandemic) I had an easy follow-the-leader swim with much less congestion around the buoys than usual. Upon exiting I check my watch and I see I'm done in only 27 minutes! That felt like an easy swim… maybe there are some benefits to carrying a three-yearold round all day.
