PUTTING on a show for mixed varieties can present a range of challenges to show organisers. The traditional cage bird society event is a typical example. One challenge is to find judges to cover all the sections.
Often, the cost or justification of booking specialist judges for each breed is just not viable, mainly because the entry of some breeds may be fairly low. Hence it is notreadily adapt his or her knowledge to judge both breeds accurately.
