MASSEY FERGUSON 35 RESTORATION

When I finished last issue’s episode, I’d just lined up the clutch, but before I could slide it back onto the rest of the tractor, I wanted to replace the oil seal in the input shaft housing. I had no reason to believe this was leaking, but as this was a single clutch, removing it and replacing it with a new one was an easy job. Double-clutch tractors can be more complicated.

With the thrust bearing carrier and clutch pedal shafts removed, there were four bolts to undo on the input shaft housing.
