The inaugural 2022 cohort of selected designers were recognised with a creative retreat to Bali’s premier sustainable resort, Potato Head, and the opportunity to be mentored by industry stalwarts during a 12-month long initiative. Ahead of the 2023 architecture stream, Architectural Review asked industrial designer Milly McEwan to reflect on both her experience with the program and path to this stage of an impressive career.
McEwan is product and design manager at RJ Living, where she seeks to create so that people can build their own personal havens. Raised in central Victoria, her work is defined by patience and kindness, as well as a strong passion for the eco-consciousness she discovered while at RMIT University and which shapes her material choices.
