Documentary: THE CRIME OF THE CENTURY

You’ve seen and the dramatic representations of how the US opioid“the crisis was manufactured”. The first part of the two-part documentary looks at Purdue Pharma and its owner the Sackler family and how it created and marketed the painkiller OxyContin. Interviewees include investigative journalist Patrick Radden Keefe, who wrote a book about the Sacklers. The second part follows the mass marketing of synthetic opioid Fentanyl and the charges against Insys Therapeutics for bribery and fraud.
