Film: CODE 8: PART II

“Everyone Is Watching on Netflix – and That’s a Big Deal” was the headline in 2020. It seems the indie nature of Jeff Chan’s crowdfunded feature and the fanbase that sent it into Netflix’s top 10 was a heartening trend – “it proves that if you make it, fans will come,” said the mag. Some of its popularity may have been down to cousins Stephen and Robbie Amell, known for and respectively, who play superpowered individuals in a dystopia where powers are outlawed. Now, it looks like they have a franchise on their hands as they return in a new story where they help a teenager whose brother was slain by corrupt police.
