It seemed like such an incredible act of kindness.
It was October 2017, and Gary and Diane Mansell had just welcomed Gary’s parents, Fred and Enid Mansell, both in their late 70s, to live with them.
Fred had recently been discharged from hospital after a serious fall and was undergoing rehab, while Enid was suffering with dementia, and relied on her husband’s care. If they continued to try to live independently, they’d most likely end up in a care home.
So they’d moved out of the house
