We prefer to put a positive spin on things because for only the third time in the last century, golf takes its place on sport’s biggest stage with two events at the Paris Olympics. Both have been crammed into a bumper calendar, alongside four men’s and five women’s Majors, eight PGA Tour signature events, five Rolex Series events, and the Solheim and Presidents Cups – not to mention 12 of the biggest UK events in a four-month stretch.
