Rishi Sunak on Piers Morgan Uncensored: shows a serious politician in the wrong place at the wrong time

Rishi Sunak’s latest appearance on Piers Mogan Uncensored is heavy on matey bonhomie and a little light on anything chunky enough to sway opinion about the prime minister either way.

Morgan’s command and confidence in the room with his powerful guests is impressive – but that confidence occasionally gets in the way of a truly meaningful interrogation of his subject. Of course, meaningful interrogation was always going to be difficult with a politician like Sunak, who has honed a particular stylistic mix of forced informality and relentless sincerity.
