Best weird and wacky Easter eggs

Easter is early this year, with the four-day weekend taking place from Good Friday (March 29) until April 1, which will be Easter Monday.

While there are still a few weeks to go until the first long weekend of the year, the hunt is well and truly on for 2024’s clutch of incredible Easter eggs.

Like Christmas, Easter is exciting for all ages. All-day gorging on mountains of chocolate eggs, hot cross buns, herb-crusted lamb racks, and carrot-themed foods is one of the best ways to celebrate the occasion and is a big signifier that spring has arrived. After the winter we’ve had, who isn’t looking forward to that?

There are plenty of Easter eggs to delight, no matter your taste or requirements. For children, eggs tend to be of the milk chocolate variety with a special treat squirrelled away inside, while vegans are well-catered for with plenty of free-from designs that let them join in the hunt.
