The first 24hp, 34-seat Bussings were on the streets of London between 1905/6. The Milnes Daimler easily outsold the Straker and all others but by 1907 the gap was closing and a year later figures in service were quoted as 312 Milnes against 366 Strakers. Among their operators were the LGOC, the London Road Car Co (Union Jack) and Great Eastern who placed an order for fifty in September 1908. This company was absorbed by the General in January 1911.
Straker had by this time established a London base in Nelson Square, Blackfriars. The Bussing connection and content gradually diminished as new models catering for the 1-2 ton market were introduced and cars added from 1907.
