NEW ENDURANCE RACE AT SPA FOR 992 GT3 CUP CUSTOMER TEAMS
Porsche Motorsport has joined forces with race organiser, Creventic, to create a new event for the latest generation of GT3 Cup car. Announced as the Michelin 992 Endurance Cup, the twelve-hour race will be staged across the 6th and 7th September 2024 at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. As the name suggests, this event is exclusively for customer teams fielding 992-generation 911 GT3 Cup cars.
The 7.004-kilometre ‘Ardennes rollercoaster’ features twenty-one corners and several long, full-throttle passages through the forested mountains of Wallonia. Creventic will provide regulations for the race. The technical framework is based on the successful one-make series Porsche runs worldwide with the 992 GT3 Cup, but will feature slight adaptations for longdistance racing. Registered teams will fight for victory in the overall ranking, as well as in the Pro, Pro-Am and Am classes. Michelin is the event's official tyre partner – the company supplies racing rubber developed exclusively for the 992 GT3 Cup and also supports customer teams in the paddock wherever they might be competing.
