We must go back a long time, in fact to the heady days of 1966, to reach the start of Ernie’s scootering story. So keen was he to get involved that it didn’t matter he wasn’t old enough to ride the SX200 he’d managed to purchase, he was happy to sit admiring it until he was. With the Lambretta as his preferred choice, his venture into the scootering world began in earnest a few months later.

His home town of Liverpool and its surrounding areas were a hive of action when it came to clubs and events, and he quickly immersed himself.
