T hey say love finds you when you’re not looking for it and that’s what happened to me in March 2022 when I met Jasper on Facebook.
Jasper, then 56, was romantic – in all honesty, a little bit corny – but I liked it and while I was a cynic due to a history of bad relationships, Jasper and I bonded over our love of the outdoors.
He’d ask me about work, my family, my home and I was impressed when he told me he’d previously been in the SAS but now he was a businessman. I liked that he seemed genuinely interested in my life.
