CLARKS OF THE COURSE

There’s a deep-rooted MG history within the Clark family, with Clark senior, Geoff, having worked at the MG factory in Abingdon since leaving school in 1959.

“He started as a tea boy and, after eight months, was taken on as an apprentice,” said Peter, Geoff’s son. “During his time working in the Competitions and Development Department, he went on to help build a great number of race and rally cars.”

The Clarks had been planning a joint racing project of their own for some time and, in 2011, they acquired a road-going Midget from specialist Mike Authers Classics. FDF 237C was in road-legal specification but had already been modified and raced.
