1 IS MANCHESTER CITY’S ERA OF PREMIER LEAGUE DOMINANCE ABOUT TO COME TO AN END?

English champions for the past three seasons and pursuing an unprecedented fourth title, City have grown accustomed to dictating terms to the rest of the Premier League. However, no club is entitled to permanent success and certain cracks have emerged at the Etihad Stadium in recent times, making a habit of conceding late goals and recording only four wins in nine outings in November and December. Pep Guardiola won’t panic – he has tuned his side to peak after Christmas, and this year they will go stronger with the returns of Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland. But if they don’t improve, Liverpool, Arsenal and perhaps even Aston Villa are waiting to pounce.

2 ARE GERMANY’S CHANCES OF WINNING EURO 2024 AS BLEAK AS THEY SEEM?

Germany’s record in 2023 (six defeats in11 friendlies and just three wins) suggests that they are in poor health. With the Euros just around the corner, it’s hardly surprising that optimism is in such short supply in the host nation – in a poll commissioned by magazine, only 8.1 per cent thought them capable of going all the way this summer.
