Talented students are victims of Nsfas failures

‘heads to roll’

FOLLOWING damning allegations of corruption and mismanagement of funds against Dr Blade Nzimande, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, and Ernest Khosa, chairperson of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (Nsfas) board, calls for their resignation have gained momentum.

This comes after the Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (Outa), a registered non-profit civil action organisation, released voice recordings of two meetings allegedly held between Khosa and a representative of a service provider.

Outa said the recordings revealed how service providers allegedly paid millions of rand in kickbacks to Nzimande and Khosa, as well as at least R1 million to the South African Communist Party (SACP).
