Lady Charles was born as Charles Hoppner in a small town just outside Ottawa in Canada and was exposed to bullying from an early age. This did not stop them from stepping up and owning who they are. “I had always felt more fluid in terms of my gender, and I had always loved artists who had a larger-than-life persona. I realised that I owed it to myself to be unashamedly the artist I wanted to be, and so Lady Charles was born.”
