Southern Africa – a GIANT leap in gay rights

As reported in a 2020 survey conducted by the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Intersex Association (ILGA), of the 54 countries in the “dark continent,” only 22 nations have legalised same sex couplings as well as the marginalised groups listed above. That leaves 32 African countries where heterosexuality is “normal,” and all other forms of sex are deviant.

In many of these countries such as Mauritania, Nigeria – in states where sharia law is applied, Somalia, and South Sudan, “deviant sex” is punished by death – and death only.
