SAAB 9-5 (1998-2009)

Despite getting lambasted for being little more than a posh Vectra when it first arrived in 1997, the Saab 9-5 easily eclipses its more mundane Vauxhall counterpart when it comes to modern classic credibility. And rightly so, because this subtle executive express is roomy, comfortable, temptingly inexpensive to buy and awash with quirky Saab touches.
