According to Boone and Crockett, the odds of shooting a record-class buck is about 1 in 20,000. To accomplish that, a hunter must shoot a 170-inch net typical or 180-inch net non-typical. Neither is an easy feat. Therefore, to shoot a 200-plus-inch deer is even more unlikely.
