New York has no shortage of craft beer taprooms, but Talea stands out as the first female- and veteran-owned production brewerydining room, and brought the bar front and centre to highlight the taps with its extensive selection of beers,’ says ALA founder Alda Ly. The pastel interiors combine classic saloon elements, such as exposed brick and brass accents, with modern finishes, including orange tiling and quartz countertops, while the menu includes Talea’s Chai lager, Al Dente Italian-style pilsner and Sun Up hazy IPA. A fourth Talea taproom, also designed by ALA, is set to open soon near Bryant Park. *
