What You Need To Know

1 Cream T guitars, not pickups?

Cream T is primarily known as a pickup maker here in the UK, but the company began making guitars, too, initially the Aurora and Crossfire, which feature the innovative Relishlicensed pickup-swapping system.

2 Who makes these?

Originally, Cream T guitars were made by the ill-fated UK Guitar Builders (UKGB) team in York. When that venture closed at the start of 2023, a new partner was found in the UK and the Version 2 Aurora was launched in mid-2023.

3 This looks like a Tom Anderson or Suhr…

We hear you and we put this exact observation to Cream T’s owner, Tim Lobley (read more on page 90). In truth, this super-S style has its roots in plenty of custom makers like James Tyler, Tom Anderson through to John Suhr and quite a few others: a modded hot-rod based on the Stratocaster.
