The HOT LIST

Welcome, rock fans, to our first Hot List of 2024! And it’s a good ’un, which pleases us greatly. With much of the population still extracting themselves from the booze/food/sleep/festive-TV-induced fog of the holidays, this time of year has a tendency to be on the quiet side when it comes to new releases. So this year we’ve been pleasantly surprised to find rock’n’roll’s waters to be full of fresh, juicy catches, literally all the way from Britain to New Zealand.

Who knows what the coming 12 months will bring? Who knows what bands and artists we’ll all be raving about by next Christmas? Maybe the algorithm overlords will have rewritten the rules of releasable music, and the guitar
