Materials
• 1.5m (1⅝yd) solid white fabric
• Assorted print fabrics to total about 3m (3⅜yd). Dorothy used fat eighths and fat quarters. The larger pieces were needed for fussy cutting some of the shapes
• 80cm (⅞yd) blue and white spot print fabric (Suffolk Puffs and binding)
• 2m (2¼yd) green floral print fabric (border)
• 3.5m (3⅞yd) backing fabric
• Batting at least 215cm x 160cm (85in x 63in)
• 7m (8yd) cream lace or satin ribbon about 12mm (½in) wide
• 4m (4⅝yd) cream lace about 5cm (2in) wide
• 14 satin motifs about 10cm (4in) wide
• Template plastic, fine permanent-marking pen and stiff paper or light cardboard – see Note
• Fabric glue (optional)
• Machine thread to match the cream lace/ribbon
• Needle/s for English paper piecing
• Neutral coloured thread (English paper piecing)
• Rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat
• Sewing machine with ¼in foot
• General sewing supplies
