• Assorted stripe print fabrics to total about 5.8m (6¼yd). See Valerie’s Fabric Selection Tips
• 60cm (¾yd) grey stripe print fabric (binding)
• 4m (4⅜yd) backing fabric
• Batting at least 215cm x 195cm (86in x 77in)
• Template plastic and fine permanent-marking pen
• Pencil or erasable fabric-marking pen
• A design wall (optional but highly recommended) – see ‘Layout’
• Rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat
• Sewing machine with ¼in foot
• General sewing supplies
Preparation and cutting
1 Trace Templates A and B from the Pattern Sheet onto template plastic using a fine permanent-marking pen. Label them and then cut them out on the outer traced lines. These templates include ¼in seam allowances.
2 To use these templates, lay them on the wrong side of the
