Ever find you don’t have the energy for self-care? Things that we’re told will benefit our mind, body and soul – such as yoga, breath work or meditation – generally involve some level of effort to reap the benefits. But when you’re stressed and overwhelmed, this can add to the mental load and foster a sense of failure if you can’t quite grasp it.
Sound healing, at its simplest, requires almost zero effort to give you maximum gain. It’s atreatment that uses specific instruments, such as crystal singing bowls, to ‘balance and heal the body, mind and spirit’. It creates a therapeutic atmosphere to promote deep rest, emotional release and nervous system rebalancing – and all you have to do is listen. ‘After a session you’ll leave feeling rested and recalibrated,’ says sound therapist Farzana Ali (@thesoundtherapist).
