I wanted to continue the Leighton Buzzard Narrow Gauge Railway-inspired theme in 1985, first explored in my ‘Derwent Road’ layout, featured in September 2019 BRM. I had visited the line several times and had identified key scenes; the passing loop at Leedon, the roadside section out in the country on the way to Stonehenge Station, the road crossings and the engine sheds at Pages Park.

A key design criteria is that the layout must fit into my car, a Ford B-Max. This sets the maximum length of baseboards. How could I fit these scenes and a fiddle yard into two 105cm baseboards?
